Don't let the stunning 360 degree views distract you. This 18 hole course plays somewhere in the medium range--not too tough, but not too easy. The course does play longer than it shows on the scorecard, as many of the fairways slope uphill, and many of the greens are elevated. Each hole is unique, so you never get bored. You'll find that when you're on, you can rack up a few birdies, and an occasional eagle. But this course is no pushover, especially from the blue tees. However, we have now added senior tees, and even some senior womens' tees, so you can choose the level of play you want. So don't be intimidated, you can now choose blue, white, gold, red, and pink tees to play from. Check out our hole by hole description, you'll be glad you did!

Stone Mountain Golf Club is truly the course for everyone, from the beginner to the seasoned pro. We also welcome riders (non-golfers) to come along with their golfing partners and enjoy the views and the ambiance. We're friendly to all, and we work hard to make everyone's visit an enjoyable one.  If there is any better value at a course, please let us know. We feel you are getting a Cadillac course at a Pinto price!

We have had some hole-in-ones lately. Catfish Tim Bojangles and Ron "The Admiral" Halsey both aced # 3 on the same day. Harry Riddell just dropped in with his wife Sandra from Scottsville , NY. Playing # 9 for the first time, he aced it! Cigar Smith just aced #1. Sammy Johnson also aced # 1. Jim Lovette aced #14 and #1. Jonesy and his brother -in-law aced #1.

We have also made some important changes. You won't recognize #6, #7, #8, #11, #17 and #18. And we've built a senior womens tee/drop area halfway across the dam on #5. We've opened up the course a ton. The course is not nearly as tight as it used to be, and the lost ball quotient is waaaaaay down. If you haven't played us lately, you haven't played us!

The extremely professional grounds crew keeps the course and greens in excellent condition. Water hazards come into play on six holes. Some of the greens are elevated, creating an  interesting challenge as to which club to use. Remember, all the greens break down the mountain.

To help out, the grounds crew will use a BLUE flag for back of green pin placement.  Look for YELLOW for center, and RED for frontal pin placement on the greens.

We have started top-dressing some tees fairways to make your play more enjoyable
